The Team

A graduate of Urrbrae Agricultural High School, Michael completed his Advanced Certificate in Horticulture and he worked as a horticulture consultant in the riverland (vineyard and fruit crops) before being introduced to Hickinbotham Vineyard through the nearby Yangarra Estate Vineyard, where he has worked as viticulturer since 2000. Today, he manages both Hickinbotham Clarendon Vineyard and Yangarra Estate Vineyard and brings an extensive knowledge of sustainable, organic and biodynamic farming practices to both estates. His work is highly regarded within the region and beyond, whether restoring life to precious old vines, establishing new plantings or implementing best-practice vineyard management that underpins the highest possible quality in the wines.
